Always wanted to play in a rock band or pop music band, but can't find musicians to play with? This camp is for you! On the first day of the camp (Monday) the instructors will place you in a band that matches your skill level and/or age.

When you register for this camp, please specify if you would like to be in a Pop Band or in a Rock Band. For five days, you will rehearse songs chosen by you and other band members, preparing for the final Battle of the Bands to be held on the last day of camp. The instructors are professional musicians who will teach you how to play as a band. It is suggested that you bring your own instrument /equipment. If you don't have an instrument please call and we will do our best to have something to borrow.

WHO? Singers, Guitarists, Bass Players, Keyboard Players, Drummers, Violinists, and Saxophone and Trumpet Players are welcome! Limited Space for Drummers and Bass players.

The Basic Requirements for joining are: Guitarists and bass players should have some ability to read notation and/or tablature. Drummers should have some understanding of rhythmic notation. All singers and other instrumentalists should have basic reading abilities.

Ages: 10 to 16 years

Dates: July 12 - 16

Students have 2 Program Options:

Option 1

9:30 am -12:30 pm Camp at Hunterdon Academy of the Arts

Option 2

9 am-4 pm Camp at HAA and YMCA

Students will be transported from Camp Carr to Hunterdon Academy of the Arts and then return to Camp Carr.

Tuition: Full YMCA Members: $325; Program Members: $360.
