Cara London
Cara holds a BA in Art History from Brandeis University, and an MFA in Sculpture from Parsons School of Design. She also studied at the New York Studio School, and the School of Visual Arts. During this period, she began painting with a small group of artists who share a commitment to a more formalist tradition.
Over the years, Ms. London has been accepted to numerous professional workshops, including Triangle Artists’ Workshop, the Vermont Studio School, and the Leighton Center at Emma Lake in Canada. For over fifteen years, she has been teaching drawing, painting and sculpture, working with students in the studio as well as at different colleges and art institutions.
As an artist and a teacher, her art history background has played a key role. She is inspired by the Great Ones of various times and cultures, and strives to impart that excitement to her students as they find their own artistic voices.
