Seth Rosenthal has studied with several of the greatest flutists in recent history, among them Julius Baker, Principal Flute of the New York Philharmonic; Harold Bennett, Principal Flute of the New York Metropolitan Opera; James Pappoutsakis, Second Flute of the Boston Symphony Orchestra; John Wion, Principal Flute of the New York City Opera; and Keith Underwood. Additionally, Mr. Rosenthal attended master classes by James Galway.
Mr. Rosenthal is a sought-after and highly respected flute teacher. Many of his students have won prizes at flute competitions. In addition to maintaining a private flute studio, he has been a member of the flute faculty of Westminster Conservatory of Music since 2002.
Moreover, Mr. Rosenthal performs in numerous orchestras, including Boheme Opera of New Jersey (Principal); The Shore Ballet Orchestra (2nd Flute and Piccolo); Metro Lyric Opera of New Jersey (2nd Flute and Piccolo); Edison Symphony (Assistant Principal, and Piccolo); Greater Trenton Symphony Orchestra (Substitute Principal, and Second); N.E. Pennsylvania Sinfonia (Substitute); Bronx Opera (Substitute Piccolo); and Westchester Chamber Orchestra (Substitute), among others.
He joined the faculty of Hunterdon Academy of the Arts in 2010.
