Eileen Cooper, Soprano, studied voice at the Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA, and
at the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, where she graduated, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Music degree in 2010. Staying at Mason Gross for her graduate studies, she subsequently entered the Master of Music program in Vocal Performance, which she expects to complete in 2012. Additionally, she has attended master classes by notable artists, including Daniel Ferro (2009) and Frederica von Stade (2007). As a member of the Rutgers Opera Company, Eileen has performed the roles of Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Flora (Flora), and La Sorella Cercatrice (Suor Angelica). She also sang the role of Lesbina at the U.S. premiere of Haydn's opera Le Pescatrici, which was broadcast live on NPR. Serving as Teaching Assistant in the Rutgers Music Department, Eileen has been teaching voice lessons for non-majors since 2010. She joined the HAA voice faculty in 2010.
