Marisa Arzillo, Voice and Musical Theatre

Marisa Arzillo received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1998 from Shenandoah University, majoring in Marisa Arzillo.gifMusic Theater.  Following voice studies with Carlos Serrano at Temple University, and Claudia Pinza at Duquesne University, Marisa graduated with a Master of Music degree from the University of South Florida in 2005, majoring in Voice as a student of Theresa D'Andrassy.  Additionally, she has participated in master classes by Joan Dornemann (2009), Evelyn Lear (2007), Nico Castel (2006), Sherrill Milnes (2005), and Tito Capobianco (1999), and has worked with numerous voice coaches.  Her professional experience includes her work as assistant opera director, opera stage director, costume designer, and set designer for various opera productions at Rutgers University, the University of South Florida, and Temple University. Moreover, from 2005 to 2007, she was on the voice faculty of Southeastern University.  As a singer, she has performed major roles in numerous opera and musical theater productions. Marisa is currently completing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Rutgers, where she is a student of Eduardo Chama. She joined the HAA faculty in 2010, and teaches voice lessons and Musical Theatre workshops.
