Our long-standing keyboard classes have been extremely successful in introducing young students to the piano and preparing them for individual piano lessons. This year we have decided to take these keyboard classes to a new level of excellence by adding various kinds of educational music technology to the class curriculum. To make this possible, we are equipping our Keyboard Lab with multiple computer terminals, one for each student in the class.
A high-quality, low-cost alternative to piano lessons for young beginners, our newly revised keyboard classes--Pianissimo 101 (year 1) and Pianissimo 102 (year 2)--incorporate computer-based and web-based instruction in music theory to supplement the keyboard curriculum. Understanding music from theoretical as well as practical angles, Pianissimo students receive a more comprehensive and well-rounded music education. Moreover, our music technology applications are so much fun that we are also offering them in adult classes!

Please note: Students will need to have access to a TOUCH-SENSITIVE keyboard for practice purposes in preparation for weekly classes. However, they do NOT need to own a computer nor our music technology applications.
