Books Alive!

Books Alive is a class that combines age-appropriate music and movement activities with great literature for children with special needs. Each week a new story is read followed by music and movement activities based on the stories’ theme.

Students have the opportunity to play many instruments, participate in simple acting, perform movements using props, streamers, scarves, parachutes and even props they create in class to music! This fun class is designed to advance students’ musical, social and communicative skills. All of the activities in the BOOKS ALIVE class are individually geared to each child’s physical and communicative needs. Our Special Needs Classes are taught by Karen Cubberly.
