This summer join us for a fun-filled, skill-building, HAA Star-studded Film Acting class! This very exciting and engaging program will be taught by our amazing instructor Kristen Blossom. Over the course of 10 weeks, students will work on materials for their own movie clips! Then, on August 31, we will have a fun mini red-carpet event for family members, friends and other HAA students, followed by the official showing of our young actors’ short movies! Dates: Wednesdays, on June 22, 29, July 13, 20, 27, August 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 (you can miss up to 2 Wednesdays if you have to be away)
Times:
Ages 7-9 (HAA’s Acting 101 level), 4:30-5:30pm
Ages10-15 (HAA’s Acting 201 and 301 levels), 5:45-6:45pm
Maximum enrollment per class: 10 only
Tuition: $250
In this Summer Film Acting Class, Students will Learn:
Listening Skills and Following Directions: In a fun and engaging environment, students will learn to listen very carefully to direction and follow that direction in order to produce great footage.
Working with and Engaging with Others: Students are expected to work as a team, encourage their fellow classmates and become great friends as they film together.
Confidence and Overcoming Fear: The goal of these classes to create a safe environment, where students are willing to jump out of their comfort zones and try something new and spontaneous. Students are always encouraged, complimented and commended for every on-screen performance.
Leadership Skills and Self-Awareness: Students will be able to choose which material they’d like to film, according to their personal preferences. Upbeat, quirky, silly or serious, deep, and meaningful -- whatever they’re feeling that day. Or maybe they want to venture outside of their usual persona and act out something completely opposite of their usual temperament -- the screen is a safe and fun place to explore that!
