Chad C.

Musical Theater and Acting Instructor

Chad is a NY/NJ based theater artist, who holds a B.A. in Theater from Kean University. His focus was on contemporary acting, voice, theater for young audiences, modern drama, dance and playwriting. While attending Kean, Chad wrote and staged a reading of “I Am Beautiful, And'' based on the book written by Kevia Coreen and Sophia Ditchfield. His work, The Troubles, also received a reading and won the 2023 Bauer Boucher Award from Premiere Stages (New Jersey).

Along with his passion for writing, Chad also has a joy for teaching and directing. Over the past decade, Chad specialized in leading and fostering a recreation theater program in Bergen County, NJ. This program offered students grades 3rd through 9th the basic techniques and training of acting, singing and dancing. The program created a toolbox of skills that can be applied not only to theater but to everyday life.

Chad is also a graduate of New York’s MUD (Makeup-Designory), where he received a certificate from their Multimedia Make-Up Artist program which specializes in character and beauty makeup, along with hair and wig styling. Chad has designed hair and makeup for Kean University’s production of Indecent (2021) and Broadway Cares, Broadway Bares (2012).

Chad is thrilled to join the HAA company and is a firm believer that theater has the ability to not only entertain but educate and inspire people of all ages, helping generations to come find their voice in theater.
