Piano Lessons | Flemington, NJ

Called a “…performer of relentless intensity…” by the Boston Musical  Intelligencer, Asher studied solo piano at New England Conservatory as an  undergraduate under such acclaimed teachers as Russell Sherman, the artist in  residence, and Gabriel Chodos. During his time at NEC Asher performed in the  Elliott Carter Centennial Celebration performing Carter's Piano Sonata on a  program with the Chiara String Quartet. During his masters at Westminster  Choir College Asher won 1st place in the Princeton Festival 2014 Piano  Competition, Open Category and the Richard Tang Yuk Award for Most  Outstanding Artist. That same year Asher attended MusicFest Perugia in Italy on  invitation of pianist Steven Spooner. His chamber music teachers have included  Mai Motobuchi, Jonathan Bass, Gabriel Chodos, Martin Beaver, and Robert  Koenig. 

 Asher completed his doctorate in collaborative piano at the University of  California, Santa Barbara in 2021 and is a recipient of the Regents Fellowship  Award. He has worked as a staff pianist at Interlochen Center for the Arts and  has had appearances in the US and Europe at venues such as Jordan Hall and  the Community Arts Music Association of Santa Barbara (CAMA). Asher is  passionate about teaching and helping his students' technical abilities improve  in an easy and healthy way.
