Does your child light up when they sing? Do they have a knack for dancing or love performing? Our Show Choir is the perfect opportunity for young talents aged 7 to 10 and 11 to 15 to explore their musical abilities, build confidence, and have a blast with friends on stage!

About the Show Choir:

Our Show Choir is audition-based and intended only for students committed to regular weekly class attendance, as well as participation in public performances. The program blends singing, acting, and movement into lively, high-energy performances that kids will love! We teach popular songs, perfect for young voices, paired with choreography that’s age-appropriate and fun. Guided by our experienced directors, students learn vocal techniques, harmonizing, and rhythm, along with the expressive skills they need to engage an audience. 

An important part of the Show Choir’s mission is to represent Hunterdon Academy of the Arts with performances at various events in the local community. 

What Students Learn in Show Choir:

• Vocal Training: Techniques to support breath control, pitch accuracy, and blending with others in harmony.
• Choreography: Simple yet dynamic dance routines that enhance musical numbers, building rhythm, coordination, and confidence.
• Stage Presence: Tips on using facial expressions, body language, and energy to connect with an audience and create an unforgettable performance.
• Teamwork: Being part of a choir builds collaboration skills and fosters friendships as they learn to work together toward a common goal.
