Lauren L.

Lauren is passionate about theater education and has twenty-five years of experience teaching theater to children and directing youth productions. She loves bringing the joy of theater to young people and bringing out the best in each one.  

Lauren studied theater at Northwestern University and also received a Master’s Degree from SUNY-Empire State College focusing on the use of theater and dance in elementary education. Throughout her career, Lauren has taught in a wide variety of schools, camps, and performing arts centers. Most notably, Lauren has built and implemented a performing arts program at The Albrook School in Basking Ridge, NJ where she has worked with children for more than twenty years.

As a performer herself, Lauren appears frequently in local productions throughout New Jersey. Favorite roles include Jack’s Mom in Into the Woods, Mrs. Medlock in The Secret Garden, Sour Kangaroo in Seussical, and Mrs. Gloop in Willy Wonka.
