Seunghee (Sally) L.

Piano Lessons | Flemington, NJ

Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Seunghee (Sally) began playing the piano at age 7. She studied classical piano until middle school and began learning K-Pop as a teenager.

Sally attended Dongduk Women’s University majoring in Applied Music in Seoul, South Korea. During college, she played jazz but mainly played K-Pop for local gigs, corporate events, and venues. She also worked as a private piano teacher and as an accompanist. Before coming to the U.S., she worked as a music transcriber at a music book publishing company named "SRMUSIC".

Due to Sally's interest in jazz, she decided to attend the University of The Arts in Philadelphia, PA, where she received her Master’s degree in December 2019. During grad school, she was a piano player in the Rick Kerber Tribute Big Band, which featured not only traditional jazz, but other diverse styles. She also played at the Key of She Jazz Conference and WRTI “The Bridge”, which is a public radio station, in 2019. After graduation, she moved to Plainsboro, NJ and worked as a freelance musician. Sally is excited to join the team at HAA and looks forward to sharing her love of piano with her students!
