Matthew M.

Matthew Marsh is a freelance trumpeter based in the New York metropolitan area. His playing can be heard on the soundtrack for the short film “If” directed by Elizabeth Troxler which was featured in the 2021 Venice Shorts Film Festival. In 2018 he performed as lead trumpet in Waxler Productions' On The Town in celebration of the Bernstein centennial. Active as a soloist, Matt has been a regular guest artist in the First United Methodist Church of Asbury Park’s concert series. He is a founding member of the Bowling Brass Quintet. Matt is an honors graduate of Rutgers University where he studied with Kenneth DeCarlo. He has also taken lessons and masterclasses with numerous players such as Christopher Martin, Kevin Cobb, and John Sheppard.
