Gail F.
Gail F. holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Montclair State University. She began taking violin lessons at age 9. Her early accomplishments were performing with the New Jersey All State Orchestra and The New Jersey Youth Symphony. While pursuing her undergraduate degree at Montclair, she studied with Oscar Ravina, a member of the New York Philharmonic.
Gail’s performance experience includes weddings, theaters, church functions, picnics, house parties, restaurants and Atlantic City Convention Hall. Her previous performance experience includes a tribute band for Shania Twain called “Simply Shania” where she played fiddle on an electric violin. She also composed and performed fiddle parts with a folk band called The Roosevelt String Band. She was honored to perform with Paul Prestopino (support musician for Peter, Paul and Mary). Currently, she performs with a country pop band called “Just Among Friends."
Gail’s teaching experience includes 26 years with the Franklin Township School District in Somerset, New Jersey. She taught all grade levels, including a modified Suzuki program for students in first through third grades. Gail is currently working on an internship to become certified as a music practitioner. She resides in Lake Hopatcong with her husband Mark and a labradoodle “Rufus."
