Kanttara has been singing, dancing and performing since age 3, on every preschool holiday celebration, the elementary school choir, yearly musical events and competitions in her childhood. In her teens Kanttara was chosen to represent her school in the regional musical contest for young performers, songwriters and singers, and was chosen as the “New Talent” in her hometown, Petach-Tickva, Israel.
She started touring singing and acting with her town's youth band locally and touring Europe on Summer breaks. This created opportunities to perform as a professional, doing world tours with renowned Israeli artists, on national TV and musical theater productions throughout her teens and 20's. During one of her tours she was advised to obtain a teaching degree in addition to her professional singing. Kanttara obtained a Certified Senior Teacher Degree in Musical Education from “Levinski” College in Israel in 1993, and later specialized in early childhood musical education.
Kanttara loves working with children. She spent the next several years teaching music in private schools and continued performing in different bands as a lead and background singer.
