Ljuliana T.

A native of Memphis, TN, Ljuliana fell in love with music and performance from an early age. She grew up singing in church and began piano lessons at the University of Memphis in the Suzuki Program at the age of 3. Ljuliana continued her studies in Suzuki for the next 10 years before joining the Stax Music Academy. There, she fell in love with the soul sounds of her city and got the opportunity to play with world-renowned musicians like Kirk Whalum and George Clinton. During her time at Stax, Ljuliana dove into gospel, soul, RnB, funk, and jazz while continuing her classical studies throughout middle and high school. In 2017, she joined the Memphis Jazz Workshop where she evolved from student to instructor, and continued until she left for college in the fall of 2018. In 2022, Ljuliana graduated from Berklee College of Music, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Writing and Production, with a minor in Screen Scoring. During her time there, she was able to work with amazing artists like Tia Fuller, Micki Miller, Harry Connick Jr., and Jazzmeia Horn. After graduating, Ljuliana returned to Memphis and began teaching elementary through high school age students at the Memphis Jazz Workshop. 

Ljuliana is passionate about inspiring and teaching children in piano, vocals, and composition, and looks forward to helping to shape young minds here at Hunterdon Academy of the Arts.
