Marcello F.

Voice & Piano Lessons | Flemington, NJ

Marcello has been involved with music ever since he was 5 years old. Beginning with classical piano, he soon after began studying voice and musical theater. He is now a graduate of Montclair State University with a Bachelor’s is Music Education, and is continuing his studies for a Master’s in Teaching. Although Marcello was trained classically in both piano and voice, he has a lot of experience in a number of things, from jazz to musical theater to organ to gospel and more. Marcello is also an accomplished composer and arranger, typically composing or arranging for choir. Despite his classical formal training, Marcello has always had a love for jazz in particular. When he was first learning piano, his teacher always had a difficult time keeping him away from the jazz pieces and playing classical instead. At some point, she gave in, and let him jazz it up to his heart’s content. Marcello now regularly plays jazz, as well as being in a very accomplished vocal jazz group at Montclair State, who has performed in such places as Dizzy’s Club in NYC and the Soapbox Gallery. In the classroom, Marcello adopts a “student first” mentality, with his focus being on fostering a safe community for student expression. On stage, he can often be seen in strong commanding roles that demand a full use of his strong bass voice. Be it in front of students or an audience, Marcello always lets his passion show.
