Kip R.

Acting Instructor

Kip Rosser’s career spans myriad disciplines: acting, directing for the stage, as well as being a teaching artist, and award-winning playwright. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Acting and Directing from Ithaca College and a Masters Degree in Directing from Northwestern University. Rosser’s directing career and his work with actors of all ages began in 1977 and continues to this day. Additionally, he worked for many years as graphic designer, copywriter and Art Director; in this arena, his expertise in arts marketing was put to good use for two seasons as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Princeton’s McCarter Theater.

In keeping with his dedication to arts education, from 2009 to 2019, Rosser brought his grade-appropriate music programs, workshops and residencies to classrooms under the auspices of Musicopia, an organization that sends teaching artists to underserved schools in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.

At the behest of Moog Music, Inc. he created comprehensive courseware for music therapists for their utilization of the theremin (an electronic musical instrument) in therapeutic settings. He also developed Attentiv, a course in public speaking for corporate executives. His original film scores, music CDs and concert appearances have earned him a reputation as one of today’s most accomplished professional thereminists.
