Why A Theater Black Belt™?

Inspired by martial arts, HAA's one-of-a-kind Theatre Arts Program guides students ages 7–17 through a progressive belt system — from White Belt all the way to Theater Black Belt™ and beyond — through engaging classes, live performances, and personal development challenges.

This isn't a regular drama class. It's a structured, multi-year journey that builds real-world skills at every stage: confidence, public speaking, teamwork, discipline, and creative problem-solving.

For students who want to perform
  • Fully produced musicals and plays on a professional in-house stage

  • Auditions built into class structure — from day one

  • Ensemble and solo performance experience

  • LAMDA exam opportunities in advanced years

For families who want lasting value
  • Confidence and public speaking that shows up everywhere

  • Focus, discipline, and follow-through

  • All rehearsals and performances happen right here at HAA

  • A 6-year path from beginner to Leadership-certified

ActinGarten 3 girls-2

A clear path, whatever your child's age

  • ActinGarten® (early childhood). A joyful first introduction to acting, music and movement for our youngest performers.

  • Acting & Musical Theatre (ages 7–17). Group classes where students master acting technique, build confidence and prepare for the stage.

  • Private Acting Lessons. One-on-one coaching for auditions, monologues and on-camera work.

  • Stage Productions. Real shows — acting and musical theatre — with a full rehearsal and performance process.

Theatre is one of the most powerful confidence-builders there is. Students learn public speaking, teamwork, empathy, memorization and poise — skills that show up in the classroom, in interviews and in life. Many parents tell us theatre changed their child.
