Ian V.

Ian is a musician, and educator residing in Lambertville, NJ. He has vast experience teaching students of all levels in a variety of music styles the fundamentals of instrumental technique, music theory and creative musicianship. He has taught public school orchestra as well as private lessons in bass, guitar, piano, violin, and cello for the past 15 years. No matter what your goals in learning an instrument, Ian can help you achieve them.

He has performed on his primary instrument, the double bass, in a variety of jazz, rock and roll, and classical ensembles over the years including the PA Sinfonia, Low Cut Connie, and continues to perform regularly with his own roots rock group, the Vostones. He earned his B.F.A from the New School in Jazz and Contemporary Music in 2000 and a Master’s degree from West Chester University in Music Education in 2021.
