Brendan has been playing drums for 12 years. On drum set, he has performed at such venues as The Stone Pony and Starland Ballroom with different groups, ranging from such genres as ska, metal, and rap. He started playing drums when he was 14 and hasn’t put down the sticks Since!

Brendan was a member of the Old Bridge Drumline from 2013-2015, playing quads. In 2016, he was accepted to the William Paterson University percussion department as a music education Major. While mostly focusing on percussion, it had always been an interest of Brendan’s to be a vocalist. He was in the Concert Choir as part of his time at WPU. He was then accepted into the Chamber Choir, and took four semesters of voice lessons. From there, he worked as a drum instructor at School of Rock in East Brunswick and Valencia School of Music in East Brunswick and Westfield, NJ, respectively. He then accepted employment at Elizabeth Public Schools for the 2022 school year. 

He currently works at Winfield Scott School 2 as a K-8 General Music and Choral teacher. He drums and sings regularly with several groups, including Honeybree and Back Pocket Alimony. Brendan’s passion for music is unwavering, and it shines through in his student-centered teaching approach. He focuses on technique, musicality, and creativity, teaching improvisation, technique, and how to practice effectively.
