How HAA Music Lessons Work

  • Private and personalized. Every lesson is one-on-one and shaped around your goals, pace, and the music you love.
  • 30 or 60 minutes, weekly. Choose the length that fits; many families book back-to-back slots so everyone finishes together.
  • In person or online. Learn at our Flemington campus or from home — and switch anytime.
  • Generous make-ups. Up to four individual make-up lessons per month, so a busy week never sets you back.
  • Stages to shine on. Recitals and jam sessions give students real performance experience and something to work toward.

What Happens at Your First Lesson

No audition. No prior experience required. Here's exactly what to expect when you walk through our doors.

You Arrive

We greet you, show you around our 10,000 sq ft Performing Arts Center, and introduce you to your matched instructor. No pressure. No paperwork stress.

Your Instructor Listens

Before anything else, they ask about your goals, your schedule, and any experience you might have. This isn't a test — it's the start of a relationship.

You Actually Play

Even in lesson one, you'll make real music. A chord, a note, the opening of a song you recognize. You'll leave feeling like you've already started — because you have.

One Clear Assignment

Before you go, your instructor gives you one simple, specific thing to practice. Just one. Manageable, achievable, and designed to build the habit from day one.

Two Learning Paths. One Great School.

Not sure how serious you want to get? You don't have to decide right away. HAA supports both approaches — and you can switch any time.

Great instructors!! My son is taking the [theater] black belt class and he loves it!!!
Jarrod Jacome, 2026
My son Jacob has been coming to HAA for a couple of years, after multiple recommendations from other parents. My only regret is that I did not sign him up sooner! He has tried piano, singing and acting and it's changed him so much. He is more patient, focused, much more outgoing and confident, and also growing his musical skills. The environment here is friendly, very supportive and feels like a big family. I am looking forward to enrolling my other children.
Vadim Kachmarik, 2025
HAA has the best teachers, nicest staff, best facilities, and most instrument options available. Consistently happy with them for 10+ years, check them out if you're looking for lessons for all ages and skill levels.
