Our Musical Theatre Production classes are 12-week (3-month) performance-focused sessions that meet once a week for 2 full hours, for a total of 24 hours of instruction. Each class has its own cast of students and will be preparing a public performance of a popular Musical on a large stage in the area.

Some Important Dates and Details

The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition follows Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto after a Kansas tornado transports them to the magical Land of Oz. To find a way back home, Dorothy must follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City to see the Wizard, befriending a Scarecrow, a Tin Man, and a Cowardly Lion who each seek a quality they feel they lack. Despite the dangerous traps and Winged Monkeys sent by the vengeful Wicked Witch of the West, the friends successfully defeat the witch and discover that they already possess the brains, heart, and courage they desired, while Dorothy learns that the power to return home was with her all along.

Weekly Rehearsal Dates:

Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday Class Options!

  • Wednesday cast: September 23 - December 16 (12 weeks total)
  • Thursday cast: September 24 - December 17 (12 weeks total)
  • Saturday cast: September 26 - December 19 (12 weeks total)

Dress Rehearsal Dates

Wednesday Classes:

  • Wednesday December 2: 5:30-8:00pm
  • Wednesday December 9: 5:30-8:00pm (with audience)

Thursday Classes:

  • Thursday December 3: 5:30-8:00pm
  • Thursday December 10, 5:30-8:00pm (with audience)

Saturday Classes:

  • Saturday December 5: 2:00-4:30pm

  • Saturday December 12: 2:00-4:30pm (with audience)

  • Students enrolled in Introduction to Theater Arts or Theatre Black Belt program who want to experience a public stage performance

  • Voice Lesson Students who would like to take their vocal and performance skills to a whole new level

  • Anybody who loves Musical Theatre and performing on stage! 

Who should NOT enroll in our Production Classes?

  • Students who don’t enjoy singing

  • Students who don’t enjoy performing on stage

  • Students who can’t commit to the full 12 weeks of training

  • Students who can’t commit to participating in the final performance

  • Students who are not willing to practice their parts at home!
