Amalia is a graduate from Yale University School of Music ’23, receiving her Master of Music degree in Opera as a student of Gerald M. Moore. She is a 2021 graduate from DePauw University with Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Theater minor. Amalia is also a 2017 Juilliard Pre-College graduate. Her musical and performing arts studies have led her to glean experience in opera, classical music, cabaret, musical theater, pop, jazz and contemporary music as well as in dance, acting, theater, and composition.

Amalia’s most recent operatic and musical theater experience includes: La Comtesse Adèle in Le Comte Ory, Morgana in Alcina, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Giannetta in L’elisir d’amore, Lucia in The Rape of Lucretia, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, La fée in Cendrillon, Sophie in Werther, Gretel in Hansel und Gretel, Phoebe in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Laetitia in Menotti’s The Old Maid and the Thief, La fata azzurra in Respighi’s La bella addormente nel bosco and “Manicure monologue” & “Me and Ricky” from the musical theater song cycle Theory of Relativity. She has been featured in concerts with the Yale Philharmonia in their annual opera galas – La Comtesse from Le Comte Ory, Frasquita in Carmen, Elvira in L’Italiana in Algeri, and La charmeuse from Thaïs - as well as in their New Music New Haven concerts. In 2021, she was the soprano soloist in Mozart’s C Minor Mass with choir and orchestra at Yale University. She is also a soloist with the Hunterdon Symphony Orchestra, singing works ranging from Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and Rossini to music from The Lord of the Rings. She has sung with DePauw University Orchestra as a winner multiple concerto competition concerts as well as in the university’s opera productions.

Ms. Crevani studied at the Academia Chigiana in their 2023 “Corso libero” with William Matteuzzi in Siena, Italy, performing in various operas, scenes and aria concerts. In 2022, she attended the Aspen Summer Music Festival and School as a student of Carol Vaness, performing in various scenes, concerts, operas and new music premieres. She has studied and performed internationally: at the Accademia Palazzo Ricci with Edda Moser and Claudia Visca in Montepulciano, Italy in 2018 and 2019; performed in concerts in Stia, Italy with Valerie Girard at Casentino Voice in 2019 and 2023; and at the Accademia d’été de Nice with Lorraine Nubar and Cynthia Sanner in Nice, France in 2016. Amalia has performed with the New York Lyric Opera Summer Theater in their 2018 production of Hansel and Gretel as well as in numerous concerts at the National Opera Center, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall. Amalia was awarded the only Encouragement Award in the 2019 Indiana District Metropolitan Opera (Laffont) National Council Auditions. In 2022 and 2020, she was a Camille Coloratura Competition Finalist and Encouragement Award winner. Amalia was also a finalist in the 2021 Opera Grand Rapids Vocal Competition and 2021 NATS National Semi-Finalist for both Musical Theater and Classical divisions. She won 1 st in the National Opera Association Collegiate Scenes Competition for “Baby Doe” in The Ballad of Baby Doe and 2 nd in the 2020 NOA Scenes Competition for “Sophie” in Der Rosenkavalier. She was a finalist in the 2019 Classical Singer Competition for the Musical Theater Emerging Professional Division and semi- finalist in the Classical Division. Amalia placed 1 st in the Manhattan Competition in 2019 and finalist in the Forte International Competition in 2018, both for which she was selected to perform in Carnegie Hall.

In addition to voice and theater, Amalia is a composer. She loves writing music ranging from song cycles for voice and instrumental works to pop and cabaret. She was introduced to composition studies in 2016 with Manuel Sosa at the Juilliard Pre-College and then studied independently with Professor William Pearson and Dr. Eliza Brown at DePauw University School of Music until 2017. At the Yale University School of Music, Amalia continued private composition studies with Jack Frerer until 2023. Her works have been featured by ensembles and solo artists both in the United States and abroad including the Quince Ensemble and at the 2021 DePauw University Art Walk. In January of 2023, Amalia premiered her song cycle, Constellation Heart, in her master’s degree recital at the Yale University School of Music with the fabulous pianist, JJ Penna.

Amalia is a trained actor on screen and stage. She has also studied movement and dance including modern, ballet, jazz, tap, beginner pointe, beginner aerial silks and some social dance. Ms. Crevani loves teaching and is thrilled to be teaching at HAA! She has experience teaching voice to kids ages 6 - 18 in the Aspen Summer Music Festival and School P.A.L.S. Program as well as to collegiate students at the Yale University School of Music.

In her free time, Amalia loves studying languages, playing soccer, cooking food, and reading a good book!
